Volunteer program details

The Social volunteer program is a great opportunity to make a difference in a community. This volunteering in Valencia is designed to help children from disadvantaged backgrounds, giving them tutoring in after-school programs.

Children have many difficulties in school and do not receive as much attention as they need from their parents and family members. As a volunteer you will help support a play and learning area for children at risk of social exclusion, and will also help to create support networks for marginal neighborhoods.

  • Organize all kinds of workshops, sports or cultural activities
  • Help elementary and middle school students with their homework
  • Play with the kids
  • Increase emotional care and support to each child

The time of volunteer work is during the week from 3 am to 6 pm approximately. Mornings and weekends are free to study the language, travel and explore the nearby areas or other cities like Barcelona, Granada or Madrid. Our local staff will give advice and help organize your trips!

Volunteers will work according to school week, Monday through Friday after children’s classes, between 4 and 8 pm.

At the end of June the official classes end, and the volunteers who join the program in this period will help to organize and support the summer school for the children in July.

The schedule in July will be between 9 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.

The rest of the day volunteers will have time to relax, go to the beach, join our cultural activities, explore the city, play sports in the river park and go for tapas.

Weekends are free to take trips or travel to other cities. Our local staff will help you and advise you to organize your trips!
